Facebook Badges – All You Need To Know About Facebook Groups

Facebook Badges – All You Need To Know About Facebook Groups

People from around the globe love socializing via Facebook. Let it be on a serious topic or just goofing about with memes. Facebook is a platform for all groups of ages.

There are several pages and groups that a person can be a part of to engage in conversations, or just be a silent member to observe the mindsets that the group/page members have.

And now, with the Facebook badges, people have a little competition on the groups on how to become a top commentator or a moderator or a founding member, etc.

When we speak about Facebook pages and groups, one usually doesn’t recall the number of groups and pages he/she must’ve joined or liked. But yeah, names of quite a few do pop up in mind. This is because people are active in some groups and pages while not-so-active on most of them.

Engagement is the something that needs to be on point when it comes to the success of a group. Click To Tweet

In this blog, I will be pouring out all the information I have regarding Facebook groups, updates, and how to build a community on Facebook groups.

What many businesses and entrepreneurs fail to understand is how Facebook groups should not only be limited to sales and industry connections in the virtual world. There is so much more to that!

Businesses, no matter how significant or unessential they are, are supposed to use the Facebook group strategy to target their audience and customers. These groups have a powerful outcome for the business.

Why Should You Create A Facebook Group To Boost Your Business?

Before going in the details of how one should create a Facebook group, how it’ll benefit you and your business, I might as well tell WHY you should create one.

Facebook groups provide a different kind of value to your business. They generate an online presence for you, and that, in turn, affects the marketing strategy.

Building a Facebook group is just like making a community. When a group that becomes a community discusses your business, it generates a buzz, whether people have subscribed or not.

Facebook badge actually entices the audience, the more engaging you become, the more importance you add to your business.

People tend to keep a keen eye on suggestions and recommendations these days. Facebook groups help you by bringing all those people who love your product together so they can recommend and share the best features of your product with others too.

Facebook groups help you by giving you a chance to interact with your clients and customers. They can see the side of your brand where you care and provide personal attention to their complaints. Networking is the best way for brands to get honest and genuine feedback and work towards the improvement of their product.

When you start marketing your business digitally, you don’t want the journey of the purchase to be an ordinary one for the customers. You want them to keep coming back, not just for the purchase. But also for support and advocacy.

The Facebook Algorithm and Groups

The Facebook Algorithm seems to have a very mysterious side to it.

They keep changing the algorithm, undoubtedly for the user convenience, but it seems tedious at times to keep up with the updates.

Like the recent rant from the users, led Facebook’s management to change the algorithm to minimizing and limiting the marketers and promotional content so more and more personal content could be shown to the users.

This means that there will be a loss of organic reach for business pages, but then again, if people are willing to join a particular group, they want it’s content to be present on their NewsFeed. So even if the customers can see your promotional ads, etc., they can still look at your engagement in the group.

Now, Facebook is prioritizing groups, and individual’s content, rather than giving any significance to the pages. What needs to change currently is the marketing and content strategy.

If your content is up to the mark, your business will sail right up on the newsfeed. If not then you’ll have to bear the consequences. Click To Tweet

Don’t just start a group, gather people, and then wait for engagement. Build a community that relates to one specific thing, can fight for a cause, or have the same interests. Facebook badges are a way to roll out the most engaging member or the admin or a newbie in the group. This allows people to interact in a better way.

How To Use Facebook Groups For Clever Marketing?

Alright, now that the “why” part is done with, let’s discuss that “how” part. There are numerous smart ways to market your brand using groups, I have jolted down to a few.

  • Benefit the loyalty

Build a group to remunerate your customers & make them believe special. For example, a group mainly for people who have purchased your product.

Include a link on your sales page or send emails inviting customers to join. This group can be solely for discounts and vouchers and coupons.

Not only will this increase customer engagement, but it will also gain you a few brownie points for being attentive.

  • Discussion

Your group shouldn’t only revolve around your product. You can talk about the current events, changes on social media, lifestyles, and very casually mention your brand.

  • Brand Ambassadors

When thinking of how to start a Facebook group for business, one of the vast reasons might be to keep in touch with your biggest fans.

Facebook badges in groups are the best way to list the members.

The relationships you have with your supporters & brand ambassadors are precious.

And a group like this lets your supporters correlate with each other.

  • Arranging Events

Groups are a fantastic way to coordinate with people and organize events based on their liking.

Those who audit the activities will use the group to interface & share photos & notes. You can share all the latest updates and announcements of the event in that group.

Difference Between Facebook Groups and Facebook Pages

Let’s take a glance at the origins and the baselines of Facebook groups and pages, the distinctions between the two, and how to determine which one you should practice improving their business.

Facebook Page

You can additionally have Facebook pages for public personages such as politicians and celebrities.

Pages differ from a standard Facebook profile in that they can be run by various people, they can be understood or liked by anyone on Facebook, and their posts can be monetized and improved.

Facebook pages have Facebook badges too, but it is just to explain if a page is verified.

A little blue circle with a white tick in the center symbolizes that the page is verified to be a public figure.

If the Facebook badges are grey next to the name of the page, it means it is approved by Facebook to be a business or an organization.

Facebook Group

A Facebook group acts as a center for analysis and sharing information with people who share an interest, location, or other common traits.

For example, there are groups for people who operate in the design management, or groups for people living in the same locality, and groups for people engrossed in technology.

Connecting Facebook Pages and Groups with Social Champ

Social Champ is a social media management and automation app which lets you connect your Facebook pages and groups to post and schedule content. To build an engaging community, you have to be active in your groups. One smart way to do so is by using a social media scheduling tool like Social Champ. Make your account on Social Champ, connect your social profiles, and there you go! Now you can post directly to as many pages or groups you wish from a single tab. If you want to cater to the audience from different timezones you can also schedule your posts. To be active and directly share your blog posts on social channels, you can also connect the websites you like through RSS feeds. Schedule or post the latest news, blogs, images, GIFs, or videos in your Facebook group through Social Champ. We can help you build and grow your Facebook community.

New Features Of Facebook Group in 2018

  • Admin customer support.

Concedes group admins to proclaim problems or ask questions directly to Facebook itself.

  • Educational resources for admins.

If you’re accustomed to Facebook’s Blueprint courses, the notion here is comparatively similar but for admins of groups.

  • New group rules feature.

This characteristic will let admins to simply inform members about the rules they broke when they remove a post.

  • Pre-approval of posts from select members.

Some groups claim that posts be accepted by admins before being published for the group to see.

  • Watch Party.

Watch Party is a surprisingly fresh and remarkably underused new point that was released earlier this year.

They allow you to share public videos on Facebook to a group and follow it in real-time with other group members.

Summing Up!

Be it any branding purpose or merely a step to creating awareness about something, Facebook has always been a vigorously used platform for all branding and marketing agencies.

So naturally, when a business aims to flourish, it will look to broaden its reach in every direction.

Facebook groups are the best way to do so on social media, and with Facebook badges, the audience is perked up too.

Happy Posting!
