  • October 22, 2021

One of the most critical purposes of social media is to create an online presence. People can connect with current and potential customers by posting content on different social media networks. It’s hard to keep up with the ever-changing social media landscape. With so many social media networks and so many types of content, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the constant need to post & social media management tool. Managing multiple social media networks for a brand isn’t an easy job. We agree. But to maximize your efficiency, posting on all social media at once is not always the answer. There’s a right way to post on all social media at once.

A typical social media manager will post to multiple social media as often as possible to keep their content engaging and up-to-date. However, posting to multiple networks can be time-consuming and often times frustrating. On top of this, there is the risk of posting the same content to both networks and risking duplicate messages to your followers. This could ultimately lead to a lack of creativity and even worse, a lack of engagement.

Should You Post the Same Content on All Social Networks?

Not all social networks have the same effect. Each has its own game. Whether it’s the type of content, engagement on posts, audiences, demographics, timings, all these things vary from network to network.

multiple social media networks

So, the question arises is, which one is best for your business? & what’s the better way to post on all social media at once?

Why Shouldn’t You Post the Same Content on all Social Media Networks?

There is an ongoing debate on whether you should post the same content on all social media networks. One camp believes that you should post the same content on all networks. The other camp believes that you should tailor posts according to each social media network. There are many reasons why you shouldn’t post the same content on all social media platforms. Each social network demands a different type of content.

For example, Instagram, Pinterest is more visual-based content platforms. YouTube needs video content. Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter support visuals and text, but the character limit and composition are different. When you design a post or write a caption & post on all social media at once, you’re running the risk of looking unintentional & careless. Your content will not look fluent in the language of each network. Social media users are interested in different things on different networks.

Things to Check Before You Post to Multiple Social Media Networks

Different businesses may find different days and times ideal to post to multiple social networks. Timing often depends on the social network you’re using. Also, how your audience interacts with that network, the regions and corresponding time zones you’re targeting, and your goals (e.g., clicks versus shares).

Here are the five most important things that you should check before you post to multiple social media networks:

  1. Caption Length & Character Count

Each social media network has a character count limits that you need to follow. It is essential to edit your post for each platform. You can have long & beautifully written captions for Instagram, but it would be cut off on Twitter because of the character limitation.

Pro Tip: With Social Champ’s customized content composer, you can tweak your posts according to each social network’s character limitation.

Stop Worrying About Posts Length

Optimize the length of your content with Social Champ’s Customized Content Composer.

  1. Image Dimension & Quality

Before you post to multiple social media networks, make sure you follow the ideal image size for each network. There are official image dimensions you need to know before designing your posts. Also, avoid low-resolution, blur, or pixelated images. Your visuals should look professional & eye-catching.

Pro Tip: You can use Social Champ’s image editor to edit your images before posting to multiple social networks.

  2. Have a Unique Language & Style

If you’re a social media manager, you should know how to speak in different languages. You should know the most common English, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram & LinkedIn. Every social network has its own communication style & language. The caption or images you have for Instagram can’t work for LinkedIn.

  3. Double-Check Tags & Handles

Before you post on all social media at once, make sure to recheck the handles & tags. Many brands & influencers don’t have the same username on all social media networks. For example, Gary Vaynerchuk’s Twitter handle is @grayvee, while he goes on Facebook as @gray.

  4. Consider Hashtags

While you’re posting to multiple social media networks, double-check the hashtags you’re using. You should not overcrowd your post with hashtags. Some hashtags might be trending & can get you engagement on one social network while not working on another. Add relevant hashtags to call attention to your posts.

  5. LinkedIn:

LinkedIn has more of a formal setting. Events like Valentine’s Day are not captured on LinkedIn usually. Since we’re all over Starbucks in this blog, they usually story about their company’s culture and achievements on LinkedIn.

  6. YouTube:

And they’re rocking on YouTube as well. Starbuck’s YouTube channel is mostly about “How to Coffee,” but they also keep sharing behind-the-scene stories about their company and employees.

Why is Social Media Important for Business Marketing?

Why is social media important for your business? Let’s start with the best likely answer: It gives you a one-on-one connection with your target audience. And nurture those targeted audiences into customers. Companies can get their message across to many people through social media, no matter their age or interests.

social media users stats

In 2021, around 3.78 billion people were using social media worldwide. The average number of social accounts per person in 2020 was 8.8. At the start of 2021, there were 4.20 billion social media users, equal to over 53% of the total global population. On average, internet users have spent 144 minutes per day on social media and messaging apps, increasing more than half an hour since 2015. Further researches show that 90.71% of mobile internet users are on social media. These numbers are projected to increase to almost 4.41 billion in 2025.

How are you still unsure that your business should have an active social media presence when more than half of the global population is on social media?
Still, if you need more reasons to post to multiple social media networks, let’s start with a few benefits of social media for business growth.

What are the Benefits of Social Media for Your Business Growth?

Why Is Social Media Essential For Your Business Growth

  1. Get Attention

Doesn’t matter if you have a small local shop or a giant national company. Social media is home for all.

If people don’t know your business, how can they become your customers? With the help of social networks, you can boost your visibility among potential customers. You can increase your reach with less time and effort. Mostly it’s free to create a business profile on all the major social networks. What’s there to lose, anyway?

Here’s a fact, today social media content gets more attention than a billboard or an email newsletter.

Do you want more customers to know about your services?

Let’s get the proper attention with social media marketing.

  2. Build Awareness

When you need diapers for your child, do you ask for a diaper or Pampers? While ordering a drink, do you ask for a cola or a Coke? How about when someone gets a cut? Do you yell for a plastic bandage or Band-Aid? Do you look for petroleum jelly or Vaseline?

We know these terms as proprietary eponyms. When a brand becomes so well known, it replaces the generic words for similar products.
You might not achieve eponym status with your small business, but you can do a lot more than this to boost brand awareness through social media.

People can recognize your brand with its particular product or service by creating a consistent brand voice on social media.
Here’s an example from The Body Coach App’s Instagram account.

    Build Awareness

  3. Grow Brand’s Reputation

If you’ve been used to traditional marketing, this one might be a little scary for you. When it was all about traditional marketing, many giant companies promoted their products/services without revealing their flaws. Social media won’t be giving you this protection. If your service is not good enough, customers are always ready to provide a critical review on social media. Posting about poor customer service or complaints about product performance on social networks is one of the favorite things to do by the millennials and Gen Z.
A great way of providing better customer support is integrating a CPaaS system which makes the process more simple.

This might seem like a disadvantage, but social media provides you the perfect opportunity to reach out to your customers directly and respond to their negative reviews right there. With a mix of good customer support, constant monitoring, and proactive outreach, you can positively manage and grow your brand’s reputation.

Let’s have a look at Wendy’s Twitter account. Their tweets are full of savage sarcasm and fun. And they have built their brand reputation like it. Wendy’s Twitter roasts are pretty famous. People and different brands wish to be roasted by Wendy’s. Recently, their roasts on #NationalRoastDay were all over the Internet.

  4. Generate Leads

Social media networks provide your business with several opportunities to create conversations with potential customers and generate leads. You can create a Twitter profile, Facebook business page, LinkedIn company page, YouTube channel, Pinterest profile, or a Google Business Profile account to attract the right audience and engage with them. With social media, you can reach qualified demographics. Optimize your social profiles, create clickable content, add action buttons on your profile, engage with the audience, and use social media ads for lead generation.

  5. Increase Website Traffic to Boost Sales

How do you define business growth? By increasing the revenue! And to increase the revenue, you’ll need more customers, for which you need more traffic on your website. You can use social media to drive traffic to your website. Make a Facebook status, post a tweet, or post on all social media at once.

Every social network offers an actionable button that leads to your web page. Here are a few things you can do on you’re to increase website traffic through social media:
    1. Fill in all your profiles/pages. Use the ‘About Us’ section carefully.
    2. Make easy-to-share content. Focus more on visual content.
    3. Promote your blog posts on social media.
    4. Engage with the audience, build a community that keeps the conversation going about your brand.
    5. Post consistently and when your followers are most active.
    6. Use social media plugins on the website and CTA buttons on social profiles.
    7. Post product reviews, customer testimonials on social media.
    8. Run paid social media campaigns with qualified demographics to target the right audience for your website.

Want to post on all social media networks but only have time for one?

With Social Champ, you can automate posting on multiple social media networks. Save time by posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, and LinkedIn, all from one dashboard.

  1. Provide Support

Prioritize your customers. Around 3 in 5 users are concerned with poor customer service while purchasing online.

    Provide Support

According to Forrester’s prediction, “digital customer service interactions will increase by 40%.”

Social media is breaking down the barriers between companies and customers. Instead of calling or contacting through emails, waiting in line for hours to respond, customers now tweet their problems and tag the companies for a solution.

    Provide Support Twitter
Even if they need some information about the brand, they’ll visit their Facebook page. Nobody calls these days to ask about the closing timings; they check it on Facebook page or Google.

Develop your brand reputation as responsive, caring, and sympathetic by offering support through social media channels. Create a system to track brand mentions, respond to every query as quickly as possible, listen to your customers, and go out of the way to help them. Do this, and you will become their favorite brand!

  2. Grow Affordability

Know who you’re trying to reach on social media. Keep your business goals in mind while building a social media ad campaign. No matter how great your product is, the entire world can’t be the audience for it. Select your chunk. Try to keep in mind the goal you want to achieve with the campaign. Don’t waste your budget on unwanted or unhelpful advertising. Instead of going for overly sales ads, opt for educational or/and entertaining content.

Social media ad campaigns can do wonders for your business. They play with the user’s mind. For example, while scrolling your Instagram feed, you saw a video ad of someone enjoying a juicy burger. You won’t think about it then. Two days later, you may stop by that burger joint because you were craving a burger. That’s how social media contributes to the decision-making process of a buyer.

Wrapping It Up!

There you have it, folks. That’s how you can post on all social media at once.

Capture social media days, use catchy captions and bright photos. Show your professional side on LinkedIn. Keep the human factor alive on YouTube. Follow the brand story through visuals with Pinterest. Use a social media management tool to manage all these networks, posting and scheduling from a single tab. Social Champ is an excellent platform for simplifying social media management. With the help of Social Champ, you can post on multiple networks at once.

Awesome post! I’ve been trying to come up with a good internet business idea for a while. Instead, I have come up with a great non-internet business idea, which kind of sucks in a way because this idea requires a lot of money, as opposed to a full internet-based business that might not require that much to get it started. I’m not giving up though. I recently started a blog where I plan to document my steps for starting my company. I figured it would keep me motivated and force me to keep at it. I also hope it will motivate the readers to keep trying to accomplish their goals. By the way, I love your site. I’ll be adding it to my list of interesting blogs.
