404 Not Found
[four·o·four not fownd]
404 Not Found is an HTTP response status code for an error. We have all seen 404 errors from time to time. They suggest that the link might be broken or there is some error, so the link can’t load on your browser. It can also happen if the server can’t find your requested page.
Tools to Identify 404 Errors
404 errors can negatively impact websites, so you need tools to identify them. Here are some tools that you can use:
Google Search Console: Log in to your account, go to Crawl errors > Diagnostics > Not Found, and you will be able to see all the 404 Not Found pages on your website that Google crawled.
Dead Link Checker: This tool allows you to search your website’s URL and shows you all the dead links on the site.
