An influencer is someone with a large following on social media who can generate a significant amount of exposure for your brand. In other words, they are people with the power to influence the buying decisions of their followers because of their authority, knowledge, position, or relationship with their audience. A social media influencer is someone who has built a reputation by sharing their own experiences and opinions online.
Many influencers are bloggers or social media personalities with a large following. While anyone can be an influencer, specific characteristics make someone more likely to be successful in this role. Some of the most popular influencers include celebrities, micro-influencers, macro-influencers, and nano-influencers.
